My Philosophy
Good daycare is much more than just “babysitting” and it is not something I take lightly.
It is a monumental task being entrusted with the care and well being of your child. While the financial rewards are minimal, the emotional rewards, for both the children and myself, are very abundant.
The children in my daycare become a part of my family. They hold a special place in my heart and many memories for me & my family.
Children’s personalities, self-esteem, self-worth, independence and self-discipline are all developed at such a young age. Yet, each and every child is unique.
I believe that children learn through play and life experiences. Many life-long skills are developed by seeing, hearing and modeling appropriate behaviors. Through play, children develop the ability to become who they are going to be.
Every day we work on life-long skills such as table manners, being polite to others and learning to share. We learn to share meals as a group, which is not always an easy task for a toddler or preschoolers. We learn to be patient when it is not our turn or Cindy is helping someone else. We learn what is and isn’t acceptable behavior.
We respect each other and have fun in the process.
Every child has a natural curiosity. I strive to find what interests all of the children in my care. Through a child’s play, one moment they can be a Mommy or Daddy taking care of their “children” and the next they can be a paleontologist, exploring dinosaurs or a doctor treating one of their patients. Their world is open to anything and everything they can use their little imaginations to be.
The children are very proud of their own accomplishments. My pride for them is enormous.
Parents must go to work……..
Playing is a child’s work.

Susan
“Thank you for taking such good care of our daughter. As you can tell, she means so much to us, and her care away from home is very important to us. You’ve turned the gut-wrenching guilt and pain that I had when I left her at (other daycare), into calm & confidence that she’s getting the care and attention that she needs and I want for her. Thank you!”
