The older children in my care help in little ways to prepare lunch. They are assigned age appropriate “jobs” – putting the plates & silverware at the table, napkins, helping with odds & ends in the preparation process. This is a big honor to help out and one the kids look forward to participating in.
1:00-3:30 Nap/Rest Time
Quiet play for older kids. Everyone in my care gets a minimum of 1 hour “rest” time on his/her cot and/or pack-n-play. Around age 18 months, little ones transition to a big kid cot.

Program Description
All of the children are learning everyday through play. Through blocks, colors, letters, shapes, crayons, markers, painting, glue, craft projects, songs, music & movement, indoor and outdoor play. By way of all of these, children are learning life long skills.
Beginning at approximately 18 months, children begin to participate in our formal curriculum FunShine Express. Through this, there are generally 12 craft projects a month, Alphabet & Number work sheets following the letter, number, color and shape of the month, enrichment activities, weather and calendar updating. We learn several new songs to following along with the themes each month.
